In my career, I have thrived on variety - gaining experience across the product and sales life cycle from R&D to pre-sales/business development to strategic marketing to program executive for high revenue top tier customers.  For example:

  • Post sales contract implementation. Selected as a General Program Manager to reverse negative margin and customer satisfaction issues on large (2M+ subscribers) complex projects,  I turn orders for leading edge network technology deployments  into reality - successful implementation, with satisfied repeat customers and increased revenues and profitability. Project ultimately grew revenue from $10M to $94M with EBIT improving from -42% to +25%.
  • Pre sales Business development, I work with telecom startup customers to review their business cases, understand their requirements and then drive internal organizations (e.g. BA, finance, network design, field engineering, proposals, service, system engineering and solution integration and test) to quote turnkey solutions valued at over $300M. This included addressing solution capability gaps by developing relationships with outside contractors and vendors as well as supporting Finance where vendor financing was being sought.  
  • Launching new businesses, Co-founded, staffed and managed consulting and integration services group to address unique needs of an underserved telecom startup marketplace.  Prepped the business with BA and executive management establishing the business plan for full organizational launch.  Drove development of new processes for selling turnkey solutions and staffed and managed teams of Business Developers and Solution Product Managers for a newly formed Network Solutions Group.
  • Product Development and Product Management My career arc has taken me from software development in Class 4/5 switching to building and managing a Solution Product Management organization to negotiating and driving tier 1 customers' product roadmap priorities into development and solution integration releases.    
  • Strategic planning and market research, I partner with marketers, visionaries, technologists, engineers, user interface designers, network designers, service and content providers and future users to turn service concepts into prototypes and qualitative and quantitative  research into business cases for new offerings.
